Default OK here's the deal on my lease rollover

residual is $2887. Audi will discount $750 and finance at 1.9%. Talked to dealer fleet mgr. He says wholesale is $27300 and retail is $32000.

They aren't going to buy it back because they can pick them up at auction for $24000. He said Audi is being really stupid for not negotiating because if I turn it in they will take a much bigger hit.

Ask the Fleet manager to call Audi Financial, see if he can talk them down

Default My guess is they're protecting their dealers by not

competing with them on used cars.

Default Why A Lease Rollover?

If your lease is up, why not just turn it in and lease a new TT?

Default Well here's my logic

If I keep leasing I'll have to pay $600 to $700 payments the rest of my life. Let's say I refi for 4 yrs. At 7Kmi a yr. I'll own it outright with 49Kmi on the car. In SoCal that's just broken in. If I buy a 2004( it would have to be a V6+DSG) for say $44K in 4 yrs it will have 28Kmi. So I wind up paying another $16K+ finance difference (don't know if I could get 1.9% on new 2004) for basically the same car with 21Kmi less on it.

I still have my 93 Miata. It has 71Kmi on it, still looks great, runs great, and I still love that little car. It been payed off for 5 yrs.

Default One more thing. If I keep leasing I can't mod it.

I'm planning on improving the suspension. I'm just not fast enough through the twisties.

Right Brad?

modded both of my leased TT's...never an issue, even at turn-in. Chipped both.
