the chairman of the House Administration Committee, Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, ordered that House restaurants change their menus to read "freedom fries" instead of French fries.

Edwards from NC. Cubbies, a local food chain, did this and it was all over the local news weeks ago. Front page local news a few days ago makes Edwards a hero for pulling this off in the House......i say again...We elected these guys?.....LOL....

we would not be a country but for the French. I know the issues now seem so darn important, but for crying out loud how about a little historical (not hysterical) perspective ;-)

...while I disagree with removing a fallen soldier from the other men of his company with whom he lays at rest with, I can understand the sentiment - the overwhelming anti-American attitudes of the French have been noticeable for years (long before GW was President) and as of late, untolerable.
I think we as a country need to take a look at how we support such an unfriendly ally.
