Winter tire pressures should be up 1 lb for every 10 degrees below 70 degrees.

40 all the way around still seems high tho.

I would guess dropping the rears down to 37 or so would help make the car feel more stable.

It was posted here when I previously asked about this.

FYI, it is currently in the low 20s around here. I am running 18" wheels. I will continue to play with the tire pressure to see if that helps.

But doesn't lower tire pressure make snow driving easier?

High pressure sounds slippery!

So what about

while braking? Does the ESP have anything to do with braking in snow? Seems that I could always get going no problem in the snow. Even with summer tires! But it seems that stopping in the snow...even with snow tires seems to not work as well as it should. ESP have anything to do with that ya think? Or am I just hallucinating?
