Default ok. so i've got a situation here....

anyone here experienced, power on the dash, not on the bose head unit and when you turn the key you get a (roll tongue like making machine gun noise) sound.. i'm not sure if it's a dead battery, spark plugs *shrug* i'm calling a flatbed to take it to scottsdale audi in the morning, but i'm curious if any one of you have experienced this.. if maybe it was attributed to the recall... TIA

Default Battery sounds drained, enough to power the dash but not enought to turn over. They might be able to

just jump start it.

The machine gun sound usually indicates a dead battery on most cars.

Default that was my first thought, because the bose head unit wouldn't turn on, which it always does--->

with the car off. but spark plugs did run through my mind as well..

Yup, you may need to reset your radio afterwards too, hope it goes well.

I doubt they do, but I really don't know that for sure. My unit is malfunctioning too.

Default Have it taken in for a shiny new battery - that's what I just did.

Got it in there 2 months before the 3 year battery warranty expired. Timing is everything.

Default no jumper cables in our cars.

FWIW - it might be better to jump start the car and then drive it to the dealer.

Same thing happend to me about 8 months after I bought the car.

Flat bedding it is not a big deal, but gives the tow truck guy a chance to mess up your car, plus you have to thru the added stress of waiting for the tow truck.
