Default My 10/00 was received in 12/00. Can you say 'big settlement', Gina?

Turn down their offer of a new car if they make one, take all the cash and get a Z8. You should still have enough left over after you buy the Bimmer to add handsomely to your retirement account.

But first, get a killer attorney! This should be a no-brainer contingency arrangement.

Default amazing! but it sounds as if the guys at your dealership are finally on top of this...

hopefully they'll come completely clean if they find that the car wasn't new or was damaged before delivery.

good luck, gina!

Default based on all of these posts:

I also have a 1/99 build date and did not get it until 5/99. It seems like alot of the early 1999
build date cars just sat around for months supposedly. At that time this car was extremely hot, it would seem unusual for these cars to sit around for months. Any thoughts on this?

Default Shipping delays, dealer reluctance to let them off the lot so that they'd have a demo, or

because they're lazy ba$tages.

Default To me your sitch is easy to explain. Cars always get to ports in US before the marketing release

date. Happened with the TT's, happened with the new A4. New A4's were at the port of Jax 2 months+ before they were allowed to be sent to dealers. Also, they build up numbers in country so one dealer doesn't get shafted on allotment. Not unusual at the beginning of a model run.

Gina's case, however, is unusual. That's 10 months!!!

Default I also want to let you know part of the email that I received from my AoA friend...

the other part is just social/"we'll do all we can" stuff. This part was interesting and I wanted to share.....

"I know there is nothing I can say right now to make you feel better but, I
would like to put your mind at ease a bit. Of the almost 13 years that I
have been in the car business, I have never seen a car used in Germany than
sent to the US. The history that we can pull up will give us the date of
check point 8, which is the final inspection. It will also tell us when the
car was shipped, arrived at port, and then arrived at the dealership and
ultimately sold to you. From the time the car is built till it is at the
dealership is usually 2-3 months. There are times that the cars are held at
the port at a launch of a new vehicle before we launch the vehicles so that
we have enough to supply all the dealers at once to be fair. I know the guys
in So Cal and they will be able to give you all the specifics."

I have faith I'm in good hands..... : )

Default It's just hard on me because I really love my car. Unfortunately, I'm starting to agree with you

and the (TT) family that it may never be right.

Thanks for the support! : )
