Default okay here we go ......

I want to purchase a second ECU and was thinking that when i get it i could install it and because of the Emobilizer issue and not having a Vag or secret code to get it working have Audi come and get the car because it wont start. Thus they would hook it up to there vag and get it running????? Would this work? It's the only way that i can think of to get the second ECU to work in the car.

Comments pls

Default That's flawed logic because they will never conclude that there is...

...a matching problem with the ECU. Worst case, they find that you've got a chipped ECU and you're screwed. But even if they don't spot the chip, they'll come to the conclusion that the ECU has gone up and will pull your freshly chipped ECU out and put in a brand new stock ECU.

Do yourself a favor and get your code. Forget these schemes.

Default I don't think it would work for you . . .

the dealer would hook a VAG tool to your car to read the code needed and then look up the proper code to go with it, chances are they would not be able to match the codes. If your dealer is a pain in the *** like most, you could screw yourself!

Where do you live? Are you coming to Fallingwater? I am sure someone has a VAG tool that you could use to get one half of the information you need. You then need to get the other half from a friendly dealer. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you with that part.
