Okay... I now remember why we possibly won't be seeing the 2.0T here with Quattro

A couple days ago I posted that Audi doesn't offer the A3 2.0T with Quattro. Well I was wrong. The real deal is that you can't get the 2.0T Quattro with "DSG". I guess there is some issue with fitment with the combo. Not sure if that means anything for the 2nd Gen. TT. Maybe the 2.0T Quattro will be available as Manual only? I doubt it though.
My guess is they offer these two options:
1. 2.0T FWD only with Manual 6 or optional DSG 6
2. 3.2 VR6 Quattro only Manual 6 or optional DSG6
Both available at launch!
I know many won't be happy... but I think this is the most likely outcome.

they just don't see enough demand in the U.S. to warrant a 3rd car. we're selling very few A3s (partly because the lease gets no love from AFS) and if they brought out a Quattro, would they sell more A3s? they might not. they might just sell Quattros to people who would of bought the fwd A3 anyway. business wise, it makes sense to me, but i don't like it. look at the old TT 180hp. they dropped the Quattro due to price. the U.S. sells 80 % Quattro to the rest of the world which sells 60%. for the A3, it be price driven as well.
