is it okay to run ur car w/ no muffler(does it hurt turbo or anything). thanks

the end of the pipe after you shut the car off, so the cold air does not get back to the valves.
That was 'shade tree' garage talk, and it was for V-8's
not sure it woud really make a difference, but it would't hurt anything.

Running without mufflers on a turbo car is not an issue at all. The less back pressure the better, actually The more back pressure you have the hotter the turbo will run during operation.
On older normlly asperated cars with exhasut systems that had less then 3' in length from the cylinder head would need a rag or something to block cool air from getting back to the exhasut valves and warping them right after the engine shut off. The turbo becuase of it's operating enviroment is desighned to handle rapid and drastic temperature changes so you can have a pipe that is just long enough to divert the hot exhasut gas away form critical componants and be fine. The turbo will prevent cold air from reacing the exhaust valves.
