Okay TTschwing, a new post to clear up any confusion on the grounding issue.

The starter is the only thing which draws enough current for it to make a significant difference. (As if you could even make that much difference)

Auto Seat Pad
Description: Seat pad 11 inches by 12 inches, made of blue conductive weave material, placed in seat of auto or truck. Snaps to 6-foot coil cord with alligator clip at other end. Alligator clip must be attached, under seat to bare (unpainted) metal. Patent Pending
Function: Discharges static build-up on body from road vibration and movement of body in seat. Static electricity is "grounded" to the chassis of the vehicle (build-up of charge on 150 Ibs human body is dissipated over mass of 3,000 Ibs vehicle). Alleviates back pain, stiffness, and stress related to road rage.<ul><li><a href="http://www.cutcat.com/page5.3.3.html#ef">http://www.cutcat.com/page5.3.3.html#ef</a</li></ul>

Tell me what is being improved here in this picture?
(Sorry Steve for copping yer pic.)
<img src="http://uh.clem.home.comcast.net/images/resistance.jpg">
1. The Coil-Paks get no benefit, 'cause they have independent ground and power wires in the connector.
2. Both lugs terminate at the same place, the top of the engine.
If you can prove to me the bolt to the lug to the copper wire to the lug to the bolt has *less* resistance than the *aluminum* base *both* are connected to , you will have convinced me what you plan to do has merit.
Aluminum is an excellent conductor of electricity, and this extra connection, used as my examlpe does nothing to improve on any electrical performance gain.
This is my example and reason, and I'm sticking to it.
Again, if you really believe these ground wires will help, OK.
There is no proof they will help.
Don't tell me "They can't hurt" 'cause they can, if not done properly, and I still contend thay may cause more harm than good.
