Default OMG.. How can I detune my engine!!!! I just

read on the boxster forum my engine cannot handle 15psi of boost without $15,000 worth of engine work.. WTF do I do? My boost gauge is spiking at 16PSI!!! and dropping down to 14PSI!!! How much longer will my engine last? I can't believe this, and IM STOCK!! According to this expert Im being abusive just by driving my car stock.. Anyone know how I can detune my engine ??? HELP PLEASE!!

Post from Boxster forum:
"Then I hear all this jibberish about "Crank the Turbo PSI way up to 15 psi which is less cost then $10,000" and I say , "and watch your engine and warranty go BYE BYE" . It is at the level they designed it for. So , for the average guy buying a new car , cranking up that Turbo is a recipie for disaster . You'd better do $15,000 in engine mods if you expect that little 1.8 to hold up to that kind of abuse . "

BUT DAMMIT I DIDN"T DO ANY CRANKING..<ul><li><a href="http://www.986.org/boards/986/main.pl?read=492282">What post goes without a link?</a></li></ul>

Default My motor must be special then...71000 and boosted since 10000

and nota hiccup...just remind them boys this motor is based on a diesel design...hence the ability to handle high boost.
