Default One question about fuel...

I have a 91 O.CT chip with a list of other mods...read below...I had to get the 91 because I am not always guaranteed to get 93 everwhere here in Iowa...

Anyways, If I were to put 110 octane in the car, is the ECU going to recognize it? Is it worth it?

Thanks

Default BEWARE of 110 octane......

According to the northeast distributor of Sunoco Race fuels the highest octane NON-LEADED fuel is 104. Anything above this (110, 115) is LEADED and will ruin your cat and other components. Remember...you have to look at the anti-knock number...NOT the research octane number. Oh and to answer your question...you will feel a little improvement with the higher octane...just not as much as you would with a race program. Hope this helps. =)

Default Thanks...I think you are right...I know the 110 is leaded because I use...

it in some older cars...
I was under the impression that they have 110 unleaded too, but maybe it is 104.

Also used to use the 110 leaded when I raced shifter karts...that stuff is potent
