Hey-
just wondering if anybody had any ideas how to open the glove compartment when the lever has been broken off (I didn't do it :-) ) I can't seem to make sense of the mechanism yet... -I will post pics if that will help.
thanks!

Depends on what cause the handle to break. Put a common tip screwdrive into the slot and push toward the passenger door. It should open.
If it doesn't, then you have to take the cover off the side, then remove the locating assembly (3 or 4 screws) and you cansee the pin that is holding the door up. Push that in with a small phillips screw driver and work the latch at the same time. Door opens.

thanks Gett da Nett- that did just the trick!
Now if I'm pulled over by the cops, I can't use the "my glovebox handle is broken so I can't get my registration" excuse :-)
It seems like the pins at each end are bit sticky so it takes a little bit of fiddling to get it open each time... I wonder if there is a fix for that?
