After visiting TireRack and asking people here their opinions, I bought 4 Sumitomo HTR+ for my 2002 Quattro 180hp TT. They replaced 4 crappy Michelin High Performance tires which came with the High Performance package.
The Sumitomos are much quieter, and to my rear-end, much softer than the sports tires. You do feel like you float a bit on high speed tight turns, but you still grip the road just as well.
I really like them, and the price was perfect.
