Default Opinions on these rims?

Ok, so it's a crappy crop job, but I don't have photoshop. I just trimmed a pic of 1010tires.com in "paint" and used powerpoint to put it together. What do you guys think of these rims? The pic is way lighter than they really are, they come in gunmetal. I can get them for pretty cheap, they are the Enkei RPM2 lightweight racing model - 18x8.

Thanks for both yay or nay's.

Default Re: Are you going to lower the caR?

Eventually it will be lowered, but until then there will be some space. I'm putting 225/40ZR18's on it, unless you would suggest a bigger size, I don't know jack about tires and rims. It will be my first aftermarket set ever, so I'm pretty much in the dark here.

I just had surgery and have no cash whatsoever. I just really need tires, and I can get these rims with summer tires for $700 new, which is only going to be a couple hundred over putting stock tires on my fat fives. Later this summer I will put Nokian WR's on my fat fives for winter. Towards August I should be able to afford the lowering kit, but I will have to wait until then.

Also, I just put the rims in there as a mock up, after review it looks like they might be more of a 17" in that pic because they're almost the same size as my fat fives. It was a quick job, and I think they will fill up my wheel well a little more in reality.

Default I've been in your position before....

I'm constantly low on cash bc of college, bills, mods for the TT, etc... What I would say is get some tires for now (@ a low price, maybe Ebay) and then wait till you have the full bank roll and get 19s. You'll be happier that way, and it'll definitely be worth the wait. I mean it's your call regardless, but I say wait it out, let me know what you think. Hope that helped...

Uhhh...if you have photoshop, why did you trim them in paint? PS has much better tools.

Default Only thing on Enkei wheels is that>>>

they are cast and soft....so they are susceptable to bends and breaks...no direct experience with them, but i have seen enough Japanese cars with them bent to get a rough idea....

The style is not bad....
