Default OT: Anyone use the Yamaha CRW-F1 CD-RW (44X), the one with the laser labler?

I am thinking about getting this, since I wanted to add a CD-RW for a while to my new machine. I have just been waiting for the right one. While this is 4X slower then other 48X burners, I think the labling part is awesome. Anyone use this drive- or Yamaha in general?

I have an old 4X Yamaha SCSI CD-RW drive, and it has held up very well for a number of years.

44x is not 4x slower than 48x... maybe about 10% difference.

Um....4/48 = 8.3% slower which is faster than your 10% estimate.

Default Sort of....you just made it sound like 4x sounded like it was actually more than 10% slower.

I was just showing that even on it's face, it's not even 10% slower. So yes, I'm splitting hairs, and rightly so! :-P

4 times slower would mean it would take 4 times as long.
