This is good money. Refinishing alone is $$$...>>
I lost my "tech/managerial" job in August. I am now doing some consulting and selling flooring for a friend's floor company.
I just sold a hardwood refinishing job yesterday. Our refinisher charges us $1.75 sq/ft. The job is 1300 sq ft. Including shoe mould and stairs, he will make about $3000 cash in 4-5 days. Installation for unfinished/prefinished or laminate flooring is fairly easy (if you have the right tools) and you can make about $1.50 sq/ft. You just have to get the work.
