Pretty good so far.
I have been using windows xp professional for the past two week at home. There are some compatibility issue with my computer hardware in the beginning. But I have been able to resolve most of them by downloading the latest xp drivers. Once all the latest drivers are installed, the xp is very, very stable, thanks to the NT technology.

Increases resolution of laptop/flat screens
Its "Clear Type" method (Control Panel -> Display -> Appearance -> Effects -> ... smooth edges of screen fonts) increases the resolution of laptop and flat panel screens. Once you try it, you don't want to go back!

Hand me that flamethrower...
Amusing story: The company I work for is a partner with Micro$oft. When they officially started shipping XP, they handed out free balloons and did a raffle for a bunch of the marketing junk that Micro$oft sent us.
The Mac Team ended up winning most of the stuff, including both copies of Windows XP (although one of the XP winners is more of an honorary team member, since he got his promotion. Still, he doesn't own a PC).
We had a very entertaining sacrificial burning...
