Default I do not but shopped in January for an MP3 player and I found that

clearly the Nike IS the RIO with a different case. And the Nike was a lot more expensive. I bought a RIO 800. I have been satisfied with it. I am not satisfied with MP3 as a playback technology. It sounds like ****. Maybe if I had more memory I could put a useful amount of songs at 192KB/s and they would sound OK. I have 64MB ram.

Default Yes!

Go with the 800 or even the 500 if you can find it. I have a 500 with 128 megs and it's a lot easier to use than my wife's Nike. BTW, I use the Etymotic earphones with my Rio.

Default try wma

wma sounds better than mp3 at lower bit rates. I don't know if the Rio or Nike players support wma playback but some players do.

Yes, the RIO plays WMA. I'll try that thanks. Wassup with your handle? You own a dairy?

What are Etymotic headphones? Do they cure baldness?

Default They might! Go to headphone.com. Check them out.

Stereophile raved about them. The guys at The Absolute Sound use them too.

Default I chose the SONY NW-S4... 64meg, but even smaller than the Nike

My mother uses it for ice skating. She doesn't even notice it on her arm.
