There is still room for the investor in these markets...
the key is filtering out the noise and making sound decisions. I agree holding losers is stupid. Unfortunately, Joe Investor never learned about stop losses because CNBC keeps feeding him dollar cost averaging rhetoric as the market tanks. Still, there are people who are good at investing, just as there are people who are horrible at trading. There is plenty of money to be made using both techniques. It is a question of competence.
