OT: fighting a nyc parking ticket
Couple of weeks ago, I went down to NYC to see the auto show. I was driving on 8th ave and spotted a starbucks, so i pulled up to one of the meter spaces in front of the place. I looked around for signs indicating there was no parking during such and such hours...but didn't see any signs, thinking it was ok to park, so i fed the meter. I went in for 5 minutes, came back out and there it was: a ticket for $55! As I later found out, apparently there is no parking from 4 to 7pm. I'm from Boston so I wouldn't have known that. I didn't see anything written on the meters saying that there's no parking from 4 to 7. Any ideas how to beat this ticket?? Thanks!

the Judges are being ---holes. I recently fought a $105 parking ticket. got it reduced to $85.00 even after showing a copy of the Muni receipt.so here is the math I spent 5 hours in court to save $20.00 that's $4.00 per hour Hummmm

You would need a picture showing that there was no sign stating no parking, might of got >>
..knocked down or torn down
