We had the same needs and bought 06 A6 3.2 Q . very pleased.
Great fuel milage has been the biggest surprise. 30+ mpg on highway! My TT only gets 27 ! I do get frustrated with MMI and the Audi Navigation. Give me a Garmin anyday.

Ha! you found the car we are interested in...
the white (of course) 05 A6Q for $23.9K. We're probably taking the 5 hr drive to see it next weekend.
