Interesting, but not wholly practical nor a complete solution.
It still doesn't prevent killing the passengers/crew.
If, for example, the terrs have a bomb, then.... If they don't, they can still kill most, if not all of the passengers and even the crew. Either way, you'll have a planeful of dead bodies. Either way, the terrs have accomplished their goal--put fear into the hearts of people everywhere.
