OT: A poem I wrote about current events. Hope you don't mind that I share it on this board.
Just what did you think you were going to solve?
Your terrorist acts only firm our resolve.
Did you think we would wither like plants in dry sand,
Or bow to your whims and give you our land?
And let you tread through our cities and towns,
To laugh at our plight as our happiness drowns,
And pluck from our carcass every last bit of culture,
You greedy and cowardly blood sucking vulture.
You snake in the grass, you human foe,
You vile and pitiful lowest of low.
But hate has made you blind to one thing,
And demise to you is what that will bring,
That your bombs and bullets can never touch,
Our very ideals we value so much.
Grasp as you might at our treasured bliss,
And when you can't catch it remember this;
Your war will fail despite what you do,
To destroy the one thing that so enrages you,
That feeds us strength to nourish our will,
And with courage and might our hearts it does fill,
And that is liberty and freedom and pride,
It's for that so many before us have died.
You see you fool, you're starting a war,
With those who have fought to win freedom before.

Very nice, Annie
Watched *West Wing* last night which I usually miss for one reason or another. Story line made a few good points two of which are:
1) There is not a single case in history where terrorism was employed that that side won - not a single case.
2) Extremist Islam is to Islam what the KKK is to Christianity - using God to justify murder.
