Default OT: Saw my first Allroad today

Saw my first Allroad 2.7T today at Highway 1 and Water St. in Santa Cruz. Beautiful black car, apparently driven out from Jack Daniel's Motors (!) in New Jersey.

It was raining pretty hard, but when the light changed, he positively roared off. I'd like to see one of those Swedish boxmoiles do that.

Default wait for the S6 avant!

The Allroad is neat, but I'd much prefer the S4 or S6 avant! 6 speed and better tires! Our dealer here just got a new silver S4 avant and it looks good. I used to have a A4 avant sport I traded for a TTR- wish I'd kept it too. Of course, a friend just got a new M5 - awesome, but we do get a lot of snow in Iowa- not a good combo with rear wheel drive and 400hp!

Default Its a great car...

I went in to my dealer the other day and my salesman threw me the keys and told me to take it for a spin...I wouldn't mind owning one of these.

Default Yes, but...

I go to Yosemite during the winter and the to high Sierra a lot during the spring and fall, so I'd appreciate slightly better ground clearance at the cost of dmapened feedback at 8/10s.

Not like one can get up a lot of steam on the roads around King's canyon and Yosemite during the summer anyway. Joe Motorhome and Betty Bluehair, move over!
