Default Perfect solution inside....

ring a bell and have Vishal lift the painting off the wall. Actually 007 would have a female do it, so have Vishal wear a skirt

Just kidding of coarse

Default hmmm, couple of questions...

...about the nOrhs and svs. how do you like them? i like the value provided by buying manufacturer direct and have had good luck (magnepan mmg and my roomate in school bought the titan sub from aci), but the downside is no evaluation ahead of time. i have been intrigued by the nOrh approach for some time, but currently don't have room for another pair of speakers. what other speakers did you audition during the process of selecting these? what did you think the norh best compared with?

similarly, what did you listen to, if anything, before picking the svs sub? i just bought a velodyne fsx-12 on a really good deal, but the servo circuitry is causing some RF interference. is the svs really tight and musical, or more focused on maximum spl and other "theater" qualities? i bought the velodyne for it's musical ability...since i live in an apartment, i can't really take advantage of a theater sub, but some low frequency extension has been a nice addition.

thanks for your comments,
phil

Default couple of answers

I am very happy with my purchases.

As far as nOrh, since I only use them for HT, I was not "that" concerned with how they play music. I do think they image a lot better then my Dynaudios, which I use for music. I have to admit the main reason I bought them was the marble factor and the fact I was able to get 5 of them for under $2000. In the price range, I dont know how many others would compare.

As far a SVS, again, for the price, I dont think there is any better. I will be buying a 2nd sub to run with my system. For under $1000 I will have reference level base. I just was reading a post comparing the Velodyne to the SVS, I will look for it.
