Like many of you, I had followed the press on the TT. The more I read, the more excited I became. My beau and I ran to the dealership to put a deposit on the TT. We received our TT in June, and we now have 2,000 miles on the car. This is an amazing number since our car in now in the shop for the fourth time with transmission problems. First we noticed a timing problem, when shifting from first to second if we did not let the RPM's drop significantly. That was the beginning of the end, if you will. The Audi Dr. has replaced the clutch, and now, finally, the entire transmission is being replaced. Our salesman told us that the transmissions were being replaced in all of the new TT's as they come into port?!? Although we love the car, we are bailing out on the TT. Why pay for a car that has been in the shop for a over 20 days in 2 months? I would like to know if others have had the same transmission problems.

What was your vin number. I recommend you look at earlier posts for more info on the transmission.

The last 6 digits of the VIN: 000275. I guess this could be an early one.
