Default I might have suggested that too, if it hasn't been for the rash of impeller failures...

and no reported thermostat failures.


Plastic impeller pushed onto a knurled shaft, heat stress is probably the culprit here.
It was spinning on the shaft at high speed, creating the temp rise.
It was even with the water flow at low speeds, resulting in normal temps at lower speeds.

Unfortunately, the new pump is the same design.
