Default P6000 Pirelli tire pressure

I live in So. Cal.
HAving an argument with friend re tire pressure that should be in p6000's.
tire says max 51.
web site says max 51.
Well I imagine max is not where I should be at, so this begs the question:
What tire pressure should I be at.

thanks

Default look at your owners manual and fuel filler door.....

max is not appropriate and is a warning basically to not overinflate past 51. Rec. pressure is more like a range from 30-36 for 17's depending on whether front or rear and load. Usually owners are running 33/30 f/r for comfort and loaded 36/33 f/r. Try these as a start and experiment but check pressure when tires are cold (first thing in the morning).

Default 51 psi too high, you will wear the middle prematurely

I had P6000s. I ran 39 front, 36 rear on the track. That is probably the highest you want to go. I would probably go about 36 front, 34 rear for the street, depending on how hard you drive the car.
