Default Palm Scan Tool

Haing done some PalmOS development, I thought it might be cool to research the ability to do a VAG_COM device on the Palm.

It has been done and is available!

Unfortunately, it is a read-only device and can't set or clear any codes. I emailed them and they were not very cooperative. Yes, it should be able to read the standard Audi codes. No they do not have the ability to set codes. Too bad.

Palm Scan Tool

Default Wonder how similar it is to this:

I should be getting one of these systems within a few weeks.

Default If you follow HipsTTR's link >>>

There's a picture of the device. It has exactly the same thing on the screen as the device you're showing.

Default But Why? ...

For about $100 more than the VAG-COM tool you don't get to set or clear codes; only read them???

Default Well....remember that VAG-COM is a VW/Audi etc.... only scan tool.....

This is a generic OBDII scanner, therefore able to scan most makes and models '96 and later. In the Baum tools link I posted, it shows that it can clear codes. I'll know for sure shortly.
