As I recall, the question of the TT radio's origin was never solved. The last information we had suggested a Blaupunkt head unit matched to a Panasonic CD-changer. Blaupunkt's own German site has information on the Audi Concert Plus head unit.
I contacted Blaupunkt's US support looking for the remote control listed on the German site as a feature of the Audi Concert Plus. I received both an email and phone call with the following information.
Blaupunkt has not made Audi US OEM radio's since 97. Panasonic makes the radio's for all
Audi's that are made to be sold in the US.
So, in the US, the head unit and CD-changer are Panasonic.<ul><li><a href="http://www.blaupunkt.de/asp/index.asp?Sprache=english&topic=AUDI-ConcertPlus">Blaupunkt info on Audi Concert Plus</a></li></ul>
