dead upon turining on the headlight switch. Is it the bulb or ballast? I also get the headlight and brakelight symbol on the cluster as well. Might try replacing them with new ones. Any suggestions on new xenon replacements? OEM vs. aftermarket? TIA

Default often times the bulb (or connection to the bulb) becomes loose >>

try the connections first, then decide if it's the ballast. i chased a wild goose a couple years ago replacing the ballast.

Default Of all the complaints regarding xenons on this forum, it's more likely to be the ignitor, than a....

loose connection. Possilbe, yes, but these sockets to the actual xenon bulb are a 'turn-and-click' type connection.

The biggest repair/replacement item still seems to be the ignitor, inside the headlight.

Default yep - could be. but, years of boston roads shook my bulbs loose.

so it *could* be that too.

Default

odd, as it's a solid 'push-twist-turn' to release the red connector

Default My DS Xenon ignites, then sporadically goes out...

...I can just flip my HL switch off, then on and it comes back on. Sometimes I can see BOTH HLs flicker, but the PS one never goes completely out, it always seems to be the DS.

Any clues about that??
