Default Paul & I did the earthing (grounding) mod today... I must say

that I'm impressed.

My car idled a little rough with the AC on pre grounding. Post grounding, no rough idle at all.

Also, the headlights were noticably brighter.

But the best of all, the car idles so much better. I did notice a little better response. I chirp my tires in second gear tonight. I've never been able to do that before.

NO I AM NOT SAYING I GAINED HORSE POWER. I am saying the throttle responds a little better. The car idles better. And the lights are brighter (including the dash lights)

Thanks Steve for the source of the materials. Best materials around.

My custom 180 connections include:
neg term -> tranny
neg term -> throttle body
valve cover -> coil pack ground
throttle body -> passenger fender
tranny -> valve cover
neg term -> driver fender

I must admit, I was a little reserved about the benefits of earthing our cars. However, after a little research and my understanding of electrical circuits I understood why this is almost a MUST DO MOD!

I will have pics and a write up here soon.

http://www.ttgallery.fotki.com/my_mods_and_pics/</a

Default nice. would be interesting to get an idea on what the wire lengths are on both

the 225 and 180 versions...for those that are planning to do it.

here's what i am doing for 225:
neg term -> tranny :: tranny -> valve cover :: valve cover -> TB
neg term -> drivers fender
coil pack -> passenger fender

correct me if i'm wrong.

Default You'll need about 14' to be safe. We only used about 11' 225 / 9' 180. Plus

here's what we did on the 225 using 4 gauge

neg > tranny
neg > TB
TB > valve cover
valve cover > coil common ground
vavle cover > passenger fender
neg > drivers fender (8 gauge wire)

Default

Also, I ordered 30' for both cars and had about 5-6' left over. wasted 3-4' in planing/cutting
