Performance Driving tips for Quattro and 225Hp(More Turbo Lag)..
#21
I agree with your comment......
I have a 180QC chipped, turbo lag was a definite problem and it wasn't the ECU's learned driving habits. I have a spare computer and I switch back and forth between the two every so often (>5 times) and for more than 1 hr at a time. Switch over for dealer service, other TT owners in my area to try the chip, and once I thought I would return the chip and get a K04. I stomp on the gas alot and drive at a moderate level. Turbo lag improved dramatically with the install of Bailey.<p>Darwin Wong

Interesting you mention this--ExTTreme and I talked today on just this very point...
his advice was to clean the ECU, either with a VAG tool if you have one, or by disconnecting the ECU if you don't, approximately every 6-8 weeks, since it is the resetting of the ECU that is in large part contributing to the new found "power" everyone who installs the Bailey Motorsport diverter valve is feeling. The Bailey Motorsport diverter valve stops the "surge", but the resetting of the ECU is what gives the car its performance back. Period!
