CA DMV banned RAPNJAP after a Japanese-American cop was offended...

RAP and JAP were the couple's initials, of course.

The plate was recalled.

"GD SHTT" triggers review in CA :)

CA allows seven chars max, but anything with "SHT" in it will be reviewed and unless your application includes a satisfying (unambiguous, inoffensive) explanation of the meaning, it will get rejected. Thanks, DMV.
