to phlame or not to phlame?
I'm not too happy with the dealer who sold me the TT. They inconvenienced me in several ways, and part of the deal was an Audi chrono watch that the sales guy said he would throw in and eventually didn't. I *really* want the watch... (I wouldn't go as far as to say that I bought the car just so I could get the watch, but it was part of the deal and I feel cheated - I don't like not getting a deal, no matter how insignificant it is, on something.) Furthermore, the dealership just gave me another reason to be unhappy at them. Anybody have a word of advice? Should I just forget about it or insist on getting a compensation for the inconvenience?
Or should I just tell the full story so future customers are warned?
(Note: I suspect the salesperson in question is a user on this forum, if there is a post who says "drop the case" I'll know who it is!

I would definitly make a stink...
Even though im sure you got nothing in writing and therefore havent a leg to stand on, if the salesman made a verbal deal he should stick to it. Just checked out the watch - its nice... automatic movement w/ see through back chrono. Dont give up so easily!

If you had your heart set on the watch I'd persue it hard. Afterall,it was part of the agreement.
Do you think, they would cut you any slack.. if you didn't live up to your end of the bargain??
You know.. short change 'em a couple a hundred on the deposit check? Know what I mean... ;-0
My salesperson tried to weasel out of a couple of trinkets.. (a hat, keychain, & a aluminum coffee mug) Pretty cheesy behavior.. I think it might come out of the salesperson's pocket even though he pays a mininal price for it.
Salespeople always make it such a pain to buy a car.
I like my tech though.. he's cool.

He actually agreed to it in an email.
Am I just **** about this all? I realize it's not a big deal and a watch shouldn't make or break a dealer's reputation, but I just feel like the dealer was all about customer focus before the sale and then like "ok, so long!"; and when I objected "but, wait a second..." he was like "I SAID, SO LONG!". I'm taking the car for service today, we'll see how it goes (it's been four weeks and there are a ton of problems on it).
Thanks for the advice guys
