Default Phone install location?

Hello all-

I was wondering where you would suggest installing a phone? I have seen some pics of a mount that looks like an aluminum pole that fits into the TT's interior. What does the mount for the Audi phone look like? I was wondering if I might just order the mount for the Audi phone as a starting point.

Any suggestions?

Default Here's what I did...

...with my Nokia kit. Its not the most accessable location, but its also totally out of the way and doesn't muck up the interior appearance.

Evan's Nokia handsfree phone install write-up

Default Re: Phone install location?

Looks like Audi has finally realized that we all do not own or want to own the same phone.

I was checking out the German TT site this morning and saw the following. It also stated that the phone mount is adaptable. I assume that this means it will be similar to the Cellportt 3000 (http://www.cellport.com) unit that is available (possibly an OEM thing)?

I have heard from other TT owners of installing the Cellport unit with success. Does anyone konw when the 2002 TT's will be offered in the US?

It will be interesting to see if this phone option is offered here.

It looks like the phone location solution I am looking for.

http://www.cellport.com</a
