Default 'Picked up my 225C on Thursday after waiting since 11/98. Observations & questions (please)!

Lake Silver, ESP, Premium Package only. Beautiful rolling sculpture, but you all know that. 'Picked it up at Rusnak Pasadena (thanks, Jack Weir), and drove to the Bay Area yesterday. I have over 500 miles on the car, and I've had it for less than 4 days.

A few observations & questions:

1) Heat Shield-rattles like mad at low RPMs (at least I think it's the heat shield). The last time I saw this mentioned on the forum was in 1999. Has anyone else experienced this, and what was the fix?

2) CD changer-no whine even with the defroster on. Keep in mind I have the standard, non-Bose setup. It seems Audi fixed this problem over the last year . . . or my car was spared.

3) Driver's Side Window-I recall reading about a rattle/squeak coming from the rear, top part of the driver's side window. I have it. Does anyone have info about this? I think this results from the door shifting on bumps. The only dealer "fix" I've seen on the forum has been silicone spray on the door seal. Any further info on this?

4) Diverter Valve-I thought I heard the resonance once, but I'm not sure. Is it loud? The noise I heard could've been from another vehicle. The service manager at Rusnak mentioned that the factory has addressed this problem on newly-delivered TTs. I'm not too sure of the details, however.

Thanks,

John P.

Default RE: #4 (Diverter Valve) - Keep driving... if you've got it you'll keep hearing it somewhere between

2700 and 3400 rpm. Hope they have in fact addressed it, although I doubt it since they've not been able to provide a fix for the TTs already delivered.

Default Phase 1 of dealing with any problem like this will be to deal with it in production 1st!
