You know, I kind of like it. Like LobsTTer's "picnic table" rear wing. Some things are necessities

Default Ding ding! That's where I'd want mine if I had one. Far away from FMIC, radiator, and VTDA.

Hans, I assume that you had to custom fabricate mounting brackets for that location, right?

Default Yes....there was fabrication>>>

on the outside...on the inside we used the lip from the OEM SMIC tab and the pre-cut holes in the cooler....this cooler i picked was a BIT wider than others and was a tight fit...but as you can see, we managed! ;-)

Default I like it!

here's what I did: I planned to install 4 of these. Three inch flanges from Aircraft Spruce, overlapped to simulate the Audi Rings, with the license plate moved to the side, over the "drivers" alien door. I couldn't make the plate work (I've been ticketed twice for no plate, it has to stay)... so, on to plan "B", two of 'em!
the oilcooler is in the passenger side SMIC bay and the driver's has 2 3/4 inch TTDA feeds.. No bumper...
I may not be able to live with this... I like yours better! a simple replacement of the license cover will restore it, so I'll run it for awhile... nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Hey Russ. - do you really think it needs extra air feeds when mounted in the old intercooler space?

Mine runs a nice steady 215 degrees or so. I've never seen temps top 235 under load and in the heat....
