I know 40 people with TT's. Most have had problems. Some have been stranded. Most repairs in the thousands. My wife's 2002 A4 has been to the shop for VERY expesive work many times. First week the entire dash had to be removed for wiring problems that kept the car from starting. 10 hours of labor. Then her seat belt tentioners failed. Then she needed an entire headlight assembly replaced as it was shorting. Try having your TT carted from the middle of Utah to Salt Lake City on the way to TT West last year. Try finding a dealer in Vegas on Saturday within hours before an event because your electrical system crapped out and your radiator fan stops working. Try having your turbo removed to fix a leak in a hose. Last two runs alone we've had two turbo stop working. Mike & Shawn. Try hitting a deer and getting a speeding ticket! (wait, that's not a warranty issue). All instrument clusters, fuel senders, side markers, N75's, hoses, DV's, etc. will probably fail more than once in 4 years. Oh, and the wife's A4 brakes are shot in 18 months.
Great cars. Just needs warranty work all the time.

Hey, I like Audi and the TT. Otherwise, I wouldn't have owned 3 of their cars.
However, they break a lot and repairs are expensive. I can't imagine not having a fair amount of concern unless one has unlimited resources.
Pay for an instrument cluster replacement out of your pocket and you'll see what I'm talking about!
