Poor AM Radio reception Has anyone else had this problem? Would a bee sting ant make it any better

Default Poor AM Radio reception Has anyone else had this problem? Would a bee sting ant make it any better
or worse? Or is it a problem with my car?

I've got an amplified antenna on the roof and it's of little help..

You mean all TT's? A design problem or refletion issue? Not just with my car.

Default There is another solution which I am looking into... not too expensive, but stealthy
and supposedly sounds great. Though my aftermarket radio helped.. (the metallic tint didn't).

Coupe antenna is in the back glass. The one on the roof is cellular. My radio sucks too.

Default AM reception is not good.
There can be additional problems with interference with the Haldex controller.

I've had the antenna replaced and the controller replaced with a new design. Now the AM reception is adequate.

Default VW Phaeton's AM reception is even worse! It's non-existent!!
VW is selling the Phaeton in the US without AM because AM is not in Europe. Unfortunately, many Americans listen to AM for talk radio, sports, and news. Again, this is an oversight by the Germans understanding of the Americans.
