No. Actually, that it was moving at all is a bit of a miracle.

Default That makes sense. He did jump out pretty quick but faded faster (slower) than a "K" car...

I lingered a little to let him catch up but he kept a "repectable" distance and just didn't appear to want to play anymore. Did have an aftermarket exhaust so I assumed he might have more than that - I guess not.

The 924 is the most crapped upon Porsche followed by the 914 and 912. 914-4 cil not 914-6cil.

Default The 924 ('cept meebe the Turbos) are Porsches in name only...

... the car was developed by Porsche Engineering for Audi who chose not to add the model to its product portfolio.

Porsche picked it up and Audi built the car for Porsche.

Very convoluted.

Default I always thought that it was *actually* a VW product that was bailed on

as it was deemed to expensive and they abandoned the project, but then Porsche did pick up the idea.

I believe you as I think you have a great knowledge of this but are you sure it was Audi and not VW?

Default Watch what you are saying...

A clean 914 with a swapped out engine and upgraded components is one of the most feared cars on the track is it weighs considerably less than 2000lbs.

That is correct. However, Porsche "shared" with VW/Audis parts bin
