Are Porsche 924Ss suposed to be fast? I hammered one last night but don't know if he was trying.

That makes sense. He did jump out pretty quick but faded faster (slower) than a "K" car...
I lingered a little to let him catch up but he kept a "repectable" distance and just didn't appear to want to play anymore. Did have an aftermarket exhaust so I assumed he might have more than that - I guess not.

The 924 ('cept meebe the Turbos) are Porsches in name only...

I always thought that it was *actually* a VW product that was bailed on
as it was deemed to expensive and they abandoned the project, but then Porsche did pick up the idea.
I believe you as I think you have a great knowledge of this but are you sure it was Audi and not VW?

Watch what you are saying...
A clean 914 with a swapped out engine and upgraded components is one of the most feared cars on the track is it weighs considerably less than 2000lbs.
