Thought you all might like to know, that I raced a Porsche Boxter tonight on Dodge Street. Great freaking showing by the Audi TT 180Q - stock I might add! There is something to be said about shifting correctly, (the A$$HOLE) he beat me, but it wasn't until 100 mph that he pulled away. Light turned green - I dropped the clutch at a 3k, and floored it. I made rapid shifts at 6k, all the way up to 4th gear. The Boxter was really pushing it, I had my windows open, so I could hear him right next to me putting the "big" hurt on his flat six. I have driven a Boxter before, and I knew he was taking it up to redline in every gear. I was very impressed with the Audi, and I think the guy driving the Boxter was a little surprised as well. So, all of you guys out there with modified (chipped) TT's, there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to blow the doors off of any stock Porsche Boxter! I don't usually have such blatent disregard for the law (100mph in a 45mph zone), but hey, it was Monday night, 1am - I said; "What da F$uck, ya gotta live a little." Anyway, thought you all might enjoy a little drag race story. And APR, if you are listening, I need a chip for my 180 TTQ with an "L" box. And I needed it yesterday!
