Default Porsche vs. Stoptech, which brake kit is better?

My buddy and I have done alot of searching and probing on these forums to figure out which big brake kit to get for his TT. The two kits in question are the Stage 4 Porsche kit from ECStuning and the comparable Stoptech kit. Cost aside, which kit performs better? (please only reply if you've had real world experience). Thank you in advance.

Default I think they're pretty close in performance. I had the porsche 993 monobloc

calipers on the ECS stage III. was pretty nice. caliper sizes are identical...i measured mine against the stoptech that the installer had on hand for a TT.

Default If you had a problem with either brake setup, who would you call?

I have had Stoptechs on my TT for nearly 4 years and just replaced rotors after 40+ miles and several track events. I have had the need to call Stoptech on several occasions. They have bent over backwards to help, including the owner.

Think you could get that kind of help, advice, customer service from Brembo, Porshce, etc. Not on your life.

Stoptech is one of the top 5 companies that I have dealt with personally or professionally as an engineer in nearly 30 years.

Default I've had my StopTechs 1 year and I haven't had a problem but they feel great and they use...

Porsche pads so lots of options for track and street (I do both.)
