There have been two threads in the last two weeks regarding a spinning grind when pulling away from a stop. I have heard this every morning as long as I can remember.
Page 151 of the US TT manual talks about EDL (electronic differential lock). Based on the description I am sure this is what I am hearing. It only works below 50mph (80kmh) and brakes a spinning wheel in a controlled manner while power is applied to the wheel with grip.
This is NOT the same as ASR, which REDUCES engine power to spinning wheels. The differences are vague, but they are on two different pages in the manual under their respective acronyms.
Whaddya think?
