Hey I was just pondering the consequences yesterday
of not having a physical door lock. What if you're
instide a coupe with the doors locked and the
battery dies, or the wires short, or a fuse blows
or something. Can you unlock the doors?
I know there is a manual hatch release, but can
you get to the back from the inside if the rear
seats are up?
Can you break a side window with a tire gauge?:>

and I am sure that isn't an electrical thing, so it would work if the battery or fuses blow. At least I think it would. If all else fails then I suppose you could break a glass. -Doug

I was locked out of the car...I got into the passenger compartment with a little inginuity, but getting to the trunk was a bit of a challenge with the alarm going off. First you have to pull the shelf toward the front of the car to disengage the tabs from the hatch. Reach your hand behind the seat and pull the seat release latch. Voila! Got my keys. Now how do you open the hatch from the inside? Anybody? Anybody?

Of course, I can tell you how to trap oneself in a TT. Wear a helmet. But don't tell anyone or no more club racing.
