Default Possible solution for suspected Lock/Light bug problems....

Took my car in for the 30K service a few weeks back. The car had been experiencing what I thought was the Lock/Light bug - get out of car, try to lock car... can't... interior light is stays on... The problem was not too frequent that it bothered me enough to get it addressed, but did get frustrating at times....

When at the dealer, also had them look into a rattle that eminated from the door/rear quarter that WAS driving me nuts.... They found that the door had become misadjusted, causing the rattle. When I spoke with Chris@Diablo, I asked about looking into the light/lock issue... he said that the microswitch in the door was probably not being closed properly due to the door misalignment (honest, looked perfectly fine to me).... I think he was correct!! its been almost two weeks now and I have yet to experience the locking issue since.

Hope this might prove useful to some here....

Default Test for lock/light bug...

It's very simple to test if you have the lock light bug:

1) Get in car, lock doors with console switch
2) Start car
3) Can you unlock the doors with the console switch? If you can, you do not have the lock/light bug...
