I'm looking to tint the windows of my car, but I think 35% might even be darker than I want it to be... Of course, noone in the area has anything lighter than 35% so I'm SOL.

going rate around here is about $200 for every window...

In fact, not quite sure than any tint on the front windows is legal in Michigan. Some sites say that it's legal, some say it's not... The site that said it was legal, however, said that 35% is legal but darker isn't.
