I just picked up a new TT 180 Roadster and love it. I have read many prior postings about transmission problems with the early TT coupes and wondered whether Audi has fixed the problem prior to the Roadster release? Input appreciated. Thanks.
agg

Hard to say for sure. We are hearing fewer complaints of late, but the problems seem to occur more frequently in hot weather. If you own a FWD, I wouldn't worry too much unless it happens to you.
If you don't own a FWD, I would strongly advise you to purchase a quattro. It is an excellent value, and the transmission has proven to be much more reliable. It is the only major option where there is no dealer profit. $1,450, or whatever the cost is these days is cheap for what you are getting.
