Default the VF mount is a little more stiffer. I've only heard of one failure with the OEM

mount, where it broke...the VF won't if that's a concern.

Cost is more...and can be bought in a few places online. Search for best price. I've seen them around $160 or so at the lowest. the ES poly is about $16 and don't know about the PowerFlex.

the ES and PowerFlex uses a poly replacement bushings (2) and sometimes 3 (the third one is round but rarely used). the durometer rating on the polys may differ some, one being stiffer than the other.

hope that helps.

The Energy Suspension bushing does what it needs to for $15, hard to beat.

I have it, and it's wonderful. A little more vibration, but nothing even close to annoying.

Default FYI - Power Flex or Energy Suspension dog bone mount- one better then the other?

IHave a good friend that works as a service writer for VW, he just denied a warrantee for a GTI 1.8T that showed up at the dealer with a whole in the back of the tranny where the Poly Dog bone attached. He said the Mount had pulled a giant chunk of aluminum right out of the tranny case, since he had a poly mount he has to pay for his new tranny.

:-(

I know it's a different drive 2 versus 4 but the whole is real!
