Default power loss, need help >>

I've posted this issue before...
just want to try one last time.

I have a 2000 FWD. chipped, exhausted, CAI, etc...

starting a few months ago.. I started to expererience consistent power loss / drop off (very abrupt) around 4500 rpm under hard acceleration.

I have heard everything from "you need a new MAF" to "your little K03 can't put out much more" to "get a FMIC".

problem is... it didn't used to do this... even after all my mods.

is the turbo on it's last legs? what would cause such a harsh drop in power? no problems with the car other than this... (no smoke, no weird idle, sounds, smells, etc)

would a bad MAF not throw codes? is this tell tale signs of a bad MAF?

thanks guys!

andrew

Default got VAG?

a bad MAF may not necessarily throw a code.

Can you get to a VAG tool to see if there are any codes?
Also, you could monitor certain functions to se what is happening.
I'd try this first.
